Faith Formation » Vocations
1.JPG) The word vocation comes from a Latin word meaning "to call" and every person has a vocation, or call in life. As Christians, our primary vocation is to be holy. The rest of our vocation is the way we live out our holiness, such as through our state in life: married life, single life, consecrated life, or holy orders (priest or deacon). Every vocation is important to the kingdom of God. However, we must remember that we don’t choose our vocation. God chooses our vocation, and in following God’s plan for our life, whatever that may be, we will find the greatest fulfillment and joy.
