HOLY TRINITY PARISH ST. EDMOND CATHOLIC SCHOOLS Long-Range Collaborative Plan (LRCP) PLANNING AREA A: Catholic Identity and Mission Challenges: A-1 How do we make the practice of our faith our #1 priority? Strategic Solutions: 1. Honor Catholic principals “magisterium” 2. School/church foster foundation of faith. 3. Parents practice faith A. List of expectations B. Convenient with participants (confirmation students, parents, 1st communion, married, EME, Catholic Schools) 4. Preach more on sin and guilt, old fashion 5. Print in bulletin rules “if living in sin, do not receive communion” 6. Support priests if they enforce Catholic rules. 7. Get back, stress importance of principals. 8. Invite people to understand religious freedom. 9. Make a loving community the priority. 10. Passive members (some never register) 11. Current events and how it relates to our faith discussion group. Establish a single site for unified parish and school administrative location. 5. Combine parish/school finance, development and marketing personnel. 6. How can we better communicate that SE is affordable? Convocation Solutions: (Priority #1) 1. Creation of one governance board over parish and school – with one mission statement 2. Structure activities at SE system so youth outside the system feel comfortable and invited. Convocation Solutions: (Priority #1 tie) 1. Offer parish-wide adult/youth service project opportunities locally and globally. 2. Develop and cultivate personal invitations 3. Create a youth ministry position for the parish 4. Encourage job shadowing between parish and school. 4. Encourage frequent communications. 5. Collaborate on annual planning, projects and events. 6. Celebrate success. A collaboration of representatives of parish and school. 4. Coordinate a Marketing plan for parish and school. 5. Develop a long range plan for integrated Development and Stewardship. • Time, talent, and treasure 6. Get the religious involved in Stewardship and Development. 7. Recognize those who give their time, talent and treasure 8. Establish one Development office with one Development Director. 9. Creation of a Catholic campus (school, church, retirement home) 10.
