Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming marriage! This is a very exciting time, and we share the joy and the hope that you feel as an engaged couple. Marriage preparation is vital so that you can better:
Understand marriage as both a sacrament and a vocation.

Below, you will find information and documents to guide you through the steps and process of preparing for the Sacrament and Vocation of Marriage in the Holy Catholic Church.

Step One- Please call or email Cheryl Sherry to make an appointment to meetwith her in person or via phone call if you are out of state and unable to meet in person. Please note that dates are "penciled in" and not guaranteed until we receive the Holy Trinity Intake Form and verify that both parties are able to marry within the Catholic Church, and Monsignor McCoy, Pastor has approved the wedding date. Step Two- Fill out the Holy Trinity Marriage Intake Form attached in the Documents Section below and email it to Cheryl Sherry at: [email protected]. Step Three-
During your meeting with Cheryl, she will review wedding dates with you and will also review the fees associated with your wedding and preparation for marriage.
You will also go over the information needed to start the process and review the documents that will also be needed in order to marry within the Church.
You will be given the information, cost and guide for the engaged couple program, "Beloved" through FORMED.
To pay the fees online, please fill out the payment form below. The payment can also be sent to the parish office at: Holy Trinity Parish Office, Attention-Cheryl Sherry, 2220 4th Ave N., Fort Dodge, IA 50501.
A priest will reach out to you to set an appointment to meet with you to learn more about you as an engaged couple and answer any questions you may have. If there are any past marriages or annulments, or special situations you will discuss them at that time.
Review Marriage Preparation/Timeline Folder with decor, music, and building usage. A funeral could occur on your wedding day in the morning.
Step Four- Please review the "Wedding Day Guidelines" document attached below for your rehearsal day, wedding day, decor and environment, wedding clean up, and information on photographers and videographers.
